Kanasar is situated at a distance of 27 kms near Chakrata and 114 kms from Dehradun on Chakrata-Tiuni motor able road, surrounded by high peaks and dense rain forests the place is ideal for tourists. A forest Rest House in the picturesque surroundings is available for accommodation. Kanasar is an attractive place surrounded by dense green forest. Green meadows attracts lots of tourist and makes it a best picnic spot near chakrata. A small temple is the centre of faith and devotion for locals. Kanasar is well known for its very old deodar trees in the forest. A tree of circumference 6.35 meters is known to be Asia’s biggest deodar tree. Kanasar has few forest barracks with separate toilets, awesome camping location with option for trekking.
