Daat kali temple

The temple was established on 13th June 1804 when a construction work on Dehradun – Saharanpur road was going on. The temple is located on the outskirts of Dehradun and is also known by the name called Kali ka mandir. Thousands of devotees come to take blessing of the divine Goddess (Kali ma) and often offer Flour, Ghee, and Oil to the deity. It’s a religious belief that when someone buys a vehicle he/she often come to the temple to do Pooja for their new vehicle. As being on the Dehradun – Saharanpur road many devotees throw coins from their vehicles when they pass by the temple.

Important facts of the temple

A divine flame has been burning continuously since 1921. It is believed that the Goddess Kali mata has the power of blessing every individual gracefully.

Note: The temple is mostly surrounded by monkeys who always look for a chance to snatch eatable items from devotees, so do take care of your belongings.
